We are beyond excited to welcome Ariana Reines to desirelines books for an end-of-summer evening of poetry.

Ariana will read from across her work, including The Rose, Wave of Blood and A Sand Book, alongside unpublished poems.

Join us on the final evening of August for a reading and a goodbye to beautiful & complicated summer.

Copies of The Rose, Wave of Blood and A Sand Book will be available for purchase at the event.

Ariana Reines is an award-winning poet, playwright, performer and translator whose work spans poetry, theatre, visual art and theology. Her most recent books include A Sand Book (Tin House, 2019), winner of the 2020 Kingsley Tufts Poetry Award and longlisted for the National Book Award; Wave of Blood (Divided, 2024); and The Rose (Graywolf, 2025; Penguin UK, 2026). Her Obie-winning play Telephone has been staged across the US and internationally. Since 2020, Reines has led Invisible College, an online hub for the study of poetry, sacred texts and the arts.
