Who are we?

desirelines books is a new independent bookstore in Berlin, located at the corner of Admiralbrücke along the scenic Landwehrkanal.

Our shelves bring together a wide and growing selection of books in English. The collection includes contemporary and classic fiction, poetry, art, film and music, as well as non-fiction across politics, history, philosophy, psychology, essays, biography, gender studies, and a small children’s section. Alongside new titles we also carry a selection of second-hand books.

In the coming months we plan to host literary events such as readings, book launches, and conversations with writers.

desirelines books is also developing a small publishing project. We have already acquired our first translation rights and hope to share more about this soon.

And if you’re passing by the canal, you can also stop in for a filter coffee to go and enjoy by the water.
